Foreign Exchange Trading Systems
Traders who want to hold position for a time period of one or more days to take the benefit of technical situations that seem opportunistic to them usually go for medium term Forex Trading system. Now, you must be wondering why not go for a short term Forex trading system in such a scenario. It is not so because short-term system requires a large amount of leverage that is needed to enable them to earn profit from these small movements. For this purpose, substantial amount of capital is required.
On the other hand, long-term system would need large capital to cover certain volatile movements against open positions. Therefore, chances of success are more in medium-term plan as far as the retail traders are concerned. All you need to do is to look at various techniques in different time frames so as to find out if a particular trade is worth investing your money in. Forex Trading System is a system by which you get a technical input which you can use to arrive at a decision. What you need to do is to find out a situation where the maximum technical signals point in a particular direction. However, such trading situations are generally profitable in nature.
There are various ways to find these technical situations. The first of them is to select a trading program. You need to look at certain basic things before you choose a trading program. A trading program should be able to demonstrate three time frames at the same time. Secondly, it should be such so that technical indicators such as relative strength index, moving average convergence divergence, stochastics and SMA and EMA moving averages can be plotted. The more indicators you use, the better it is.
You also need to use several subjective studies which include important trend lines, resistance or support and chart patterns that you usually see in time frames, arcs, fans or Fibonacci retracemants that are seen in daily or hourly charts and the likes. You also need to find entry and exit points. Entry points can be found by locating the times in which all indicators point towards a particular direction. Remember that signals of all the times should be able to maintain direction and timing of the trade.
To conclude, you can plan a medium term Forex trading System to take the benefits of some of the opportunistic technical situations.
